MENTAL HEALTH AT WORK
A 1-day awareness raising programme for managers at all levels. Aims to increase understanding of mental health problems and how they affect us; increase awareness of stress and how this presents itself in the workplace; increase understanding of managers' responsibilities in terms of the Disability Discrimination Act and learn how to promote good mental health.
Next course: Friday 1st October 2010 (Fife House, Glenrothes, 9.30 am - 4.30 pm) and Wednesday 1st December 2010 (Digital FEAT Office, Thornton, 9.30 am - 4.30 pm). Costs £120 per person, short course ILA vouchers accepted. You can now pay below with credit or debit card, however please contact us first to ensure there is a space on your chosen course.
STRESS AWARENESS AT WORK
A half-day general overview of stress and how it affects people at work. Recognising workplace stress is an essential part of good practice for all organisations who want to maintain a mentally healthy environment. Employees who develop a mental health problem in the workplace and are supported through this are less likely to go off on long-term sickness absence and therefore cost the organisation significantly less in terms of cost and productivity. The Scottish Government estimates that each case of stress-related ill-health leads to an average of 29 working days lost per person per episode. Take up our half-day session as you can't afford not to be mentally aware.
Next course: Thursday 21st October 2010 (Lochgelly Fire Station, 9.30 am - 1 pm). Costs £50 per person, short course ILA vouchers also accepted. You can now pay below with credit or debit card, however please contact us first to ensure there is a space on your chosen course.
