PUBLIC AWARENESS

FEAT conduct a number of public awareness-raising events each year, typically with display stands and personnel situated in venues such as shopping centres, supermarkets, open days etc.

We also provide a "Table-Top Tour" for public venues such as Medical Practices, Community Centres, Council Offices etc.  This consists of a leaflet and poster display sited in entrances, reception areas and waiting rooms.  The official display lasts for one week, and is advertised on our website and Fife Direct, however any leaflets remaining are kept by the organisation for an ongoing display.  Through our digital project, we have now added an interactive touchscreen to our displays and we also have a mobile phone application, so you can engage with us on the move.

Our photo above shows Claire Baker MSP and Bob Porteous with Wendy Barbour from FEAT, during one of our public awareness events in the Kingdom Centre, Glenrothes.

If you have any suggestions where we could appear in the future, do get in touch!

We are also currently running a poster display on 50 buses throughout Fife, advertising on all Fife library book carrier bags and on Victoria Hospital patient information leaflets and interior maps of the building, as well as the digital screens around this hospital and also Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline - so keep an eye out for us!  We've also appeared on giant billboard posters in Leven and Kirkcaldy. We've been on the back cover page of The Scene magazine twice and have recently ran campaigns on Kingdom FM Radio and K-Town Community Radio.  Combined with various adverts in publications such as local newspapers, The Big Issue and Family Life magazine, we do all we can to raise awareness of our work.

Lined up next is advertising on public information pillars at Kirkcaldy Bus Station and our first ever TV advert - running a daytime campaign on STV during late September and into October 2010 - keep checking the site for updates!
